The report also included family history, the identity of his adopted parents, his first daughter born out of wedlock and work experience to date.

In one section of the report, the FBI came to detailing the difficulties faced by a special agent to arrange an interview with Jobs. It was February 21, 1991, Jobs presided NeXT. Despite making several phone calls to his secretary, the officer found that Jobs was not available for next three weeks and that he “could not see him even for an hour.” At last, the interviews took place in March and its contents were sent from San Francisco to the White House.

The FBI investigation came to include details of a story that TIME magazine published in 1983 to describe Jobs as “superficial and cruel” in personal relationships. Another source added that “he had no personal life to his narcissism and superficiality” and that the success of Apple had cost him his “integrity and honesty and made him distort reality.” Another friend of Jobs said his ambition had arose conflict of interest with many workers of the company.

The Jobs lifestyle and philosophy were part of the report, citing the change in him after his trip to India. “Apparently the trip altered his personal life for the better”. One of the sources said that the founder of Apple had a lifestyle almost “monastic”.

Despite all the criticism on the character of Jobs, interviewees end up commending all the qualities like intelligence, vision and energy to the creator of the Apple empire. They continued in saying that Jobs was “a strong character, tenacious and hardworking.” These are the qualities that they believe had helped him achieve such success, but not enough to achieve a position in the White House.
