Timothy Bradley: Manny Pacquiao has fought guys past their prime

The Desert Storm, Timothy Bradley, who is the current WBC light welterweight champion, is pretty confident ahead of his mega fight with the eight-division world champion, Manny Pacquiao, and the reason behind is because Bradley believes Pacquiao’s level of competition has not been that high.

The 28-year-old Bradley, who will take on the Filipino star on June 9, 2012 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, told the media Pacquiao has mostly fought older guys but this time he will be stepping in the ring to fight someone who is much younger to him.

“He hasn’t fought Tim Bradley yet. He fought guys past their prime,” Bradley said. “He fought guys that way, he beat them and looked spectacular. Don’t get fooled by this boxing game.”

Bradley discussed Pacquiao’s last fight with the Mexican Dinamita, Juan Manuel Marquez, which took place at the same MGM Grand Arena last year on November 12. It was probably Pacquiao’s worst performance in the last ten years when he secured a highly controversial decision over the WBO and WBA lightweight champion.

Bradley insisted Pacquiao is just an overrated fighter and on June 9 people will be get to know it. The undefeated American prospect, Bradley, who holds a record of winning all of his 29 professional fights (1 no contest), with 12 of his coming by the way of a knockout, claimed on June 9 he will pull off what would be a huge upset against Pacquiao.

“(Marquez) is 38, he’s not 28 and he’s not as quick as I am, he’s not as fast as I am, he’s not as strong as I am,” Bradley said. “I’ll be the naturally stronger guy.

“June 9, there’s going to be an upset. I’m going to upset the world, I’m going to upset everyone. The desert is going to be on the map.”

The Fighting Pride of Philippines, Manny ‘Pac-Man’ Pacquiao, will enter the ring as a red-hot favorite on the fight night but let’s see if Bradley really has what it takes to outclass a man, who is considered as the best fighter on the planet.
