Dereck Chisora: I am going to give David Haye a slap

Former British champion, Dereck Chisora, is furious over former WBA heavyweight champion, David Haye, and the reason behind is perhaps Haye’s poor performance and bad sportsmanship, which he showed last July against the current WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF heavyweight champion, Wladimir Klitschko.

The Hayemaker Haye and Dr. Steelhammer, Wladimir Klitschko, locked horns last year on July 2 in their highly anticipated unification bout for the heavyweight titles at the Hamburg’s Football Stadium in Germany.

The 31-year-old brash Londoner declared a lot ahead of the fight but he dropped a one-sided twelve round decision and instead of admiring his opponent he claimed an injured toe for his lacklustre performance.

The Del Boy, Chisora, however reckons Haye should have admired Wladimir. An irked Chisora told the media he would beat up and slap Haye, whenever he meets him in the ring or in the street.

“You have to give a man credit when you lose a fight. You have to give credit to your opponent. This is a boxing fight, this isn’t ballet dancing. I’m going to beat him up when I see him, in the ring or outside the ring. Me and him are going to war soon. We are at war right now. When I see him I’m going to give him a slap, “Chisora told Sky Sports.

Meanwhile, Wladimir’s elder brother Vitali ‘Dr. Ironfist’ Klitschko, the current WBC heavyweight champion, also commented on David Haye. Vitali gave Haye a chance to fight him for a world title but the fight was not made because Haye wanted a ‘huge guarantee’ for the fight.

The 6 ft 7 in Ukrainian giant insisted Haye never came in to fight his brother. He said the Brit just wants money and not the fight.

In the end Vitali, who will take on Dereck Chisora tomorrow at the Olympiahalle, Munich in Germany, said he is expecting a different fight from Chisora.

“He didn’t come in [to] fight. I expect a [different] fight from Dereck Chisora. He’s actually a fighter. He wants to in-fight. That’s why they both have totally different styles. Dereck Chisora is much more aggressive than David Haye,” Klitschko said while discussing this Saturday’s defense against Chisora in Munich, Germany.
