Politics Uncensored: Marvi Memon is the tool that Imran Khan needs to change Pakistan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) may feel that it is well set to clean-sweep the upcoming elections, but little does it realize the rapid decrease in its popularity. While the representatives of Pakistan Muslim League N and Q can surely take some credit for
breaking the strong support for PTI, the blame also goes to the representatives of PTI’s own leaderships and representatives.

Imran Khan is bent upon making his party a democratic one, ensuring that every decision is taken after consensus within the party. The policies are being drafted after discussions and new members are allowed to join the party only after the current members
give their blessings.

The mechanism is indeed a commendable one, but one is forced to question the judgement and mind of the current members of PTI after their decision against Marvi Memon, former member of Pakistan Muslim League Q and National Assembly of Pakistan.

The 39-year-old Marvi can easily be considered as the female version of Imran. She feels no hesitation in raising her voice for the rights of the people and taking a stand against the evils that are rampant in the society. She travels around the country
to meet as many people as possible and resolve their issues to whatever extent she can. She had the courage to stand up to her party leadership during her days with PML Q and went as far as parting ways as she did not wish to remain part of a party that was
willing to sacrifice their principles to gain power.

It is people like Marvi who can reshape Pakistan and inspire the youth. She is not a seasoned politician, but seems to more adapt at connecting with people than anyone else. She has put in an immense effect in getting familiar with the grass-root problems
and dedicated a significant amount of time in formulating a design that will strike these grass-root problems to permanently eliminate them.

Imran needs someone like Marvi in the party. The two have met in the past with the intention of working together, but the snakes in PTI made sure that the two did not stay together for long. It seemed that members of PTI feel insecure because of Marvi and
feel that their own place in the party will become unstable if someone like Marvi arrives.

  1. Khany

It is true that Marvi is young and vocal. She has also been engaged in an admirable grassroots mass contact campaign. She will bring much to the PTI if she chooses to join it.

Notwithstanding, the democratic nature of PTI is one of its foremost strengths. It is poor journalism to suggest that the CEC rejected Marvi. The CEC rejected her terms for joining PTI. Marvi can join the PTI anytime if she makes her association unconditional like the throngs of politicians who have joined the PTI before her. Thank you but no thank you Marvi.

  2. Shuker hai janab nahi aaiye PTI mai…
