Malik sees foreign hands behind Balochistan unrest

Karachi: (Tuesday, February 21, 2012) Minister for Interior, Rehman Malik said today that foreign hands were responsible to incite violence in Balochistan as they were trying to separate the largest province of Pakistan from rest
of the country.

Talking to journalists, Malik claimed that the situation in the province was much better as compared to the past.

He was of the view that it was a specific group that was funding miscreants to kill innocent people in Balochistan.

Talking about US resolution on the province, Malik said America needed to give further clarification on it.

Regarding improving law and order situation in Sindh, particularly in Karachi, the minister for interior said that the central government was extending full support for the Sindh government’s efforts in this regards.

He pledged to do whatever was required to improve the law and order situation in the port city.
