The 26-year-old Indian actress, model and stage performer, Asin Thottumkal, is not happy at all with the rumours revolving around in the air about her professional outings. Asin recently locked many headlines after she claimed in an interview with daily times that she has signed Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film ‘Chennai Express’. It was also being said that she has signed Sajid Nadiadwala’s upcoming venture ‘2 STATES’ opposite to Ranbir Kapoor. However, now the actress is categorically denying any such developments even when there is a news piece under circulation that claims that Asin has signed these films.

Asin while rejecting all reports told the media that she has never said anything like this and media people should use their time more efficiently. Asin insisted she would love to work opposite to the likes of Shahrukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor but on the same note she remarked had there been any such developments, she would have said the production house to make the announcement.

Asin told, ”I am shocked and surprised at these rumours. I don’t know how a particular journalist can write that when I haven’t even spoken anything to anyone. It’s wrong. I am not the kind of person to talk about my films before I have signed them. I have never done that before in my career and that’s not my ethics. If I have signed something, I let the production house announce it. Of course I would love to work with Shahrukh, Ranbir, Rohit and Sajid for their respective films. But as of now it’s too early to say anything. I’d like the press to be a bit more responsible.”

The director of ‘Chennai Express’ Rohit Shetty was also furious over Asin for spreading such rumours and along with Asin, Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were also in the firing list since their names were being attached to his film as well.

Well, all said and done, now Asin’s official statement should set the records straight.
