Rohit Shetty lashes out at Kareena Kapoor, Asin Thottumkal and Deepika Padukone

The director, Rohit Shetty, is currently working on his forthcoming movie ‘Chennai Express’, which is expected to hit the cinemas next year. However, the usually easy-going Shetty is furious over Kareena Kapoor, Asin Thottumkal and Deepika Padukone for creating speculations that they are acting in his film.

Initially the rumours revolving around suggested that the ultimate diva of Bollywood industry, Kareena Kapoor has signed Shetty’s film but now it being said that Kareena is not doing the film anymore because her dates are clashing with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film.

After Kareena, Asin Thottumkal’s name came up, as the 26-year-old recently claimed in an interview that she has signed Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’ and now the rumour mills are suggesting that Deepika is working out on her dates in order to sign ‘Chennai Express’. Therefore, Shetty has lashed out at the actresses for spreading rumours about his film.

Shetty confirmed that he has not signed any actress for his film till date and the rumours are disturbing him as well as Shahrukh Khan, who will play a lead role in the movie.

Shetty said, “I am currently shooting for Bol Bachchan in Panchgani, and my sister sends me all the story clippings of the actresses we have presumably signed. Every day, I hear a new name. Even Shah Rukh is as confused as I am!”

Rohit clarified, “I want to tell people to please stop this circus! I have a film to complete right now, so I want to focus on that. Till I return from Panchgani, I won’t approach anyone. I don’t know where these rumours are coming from. In all probability, none of these actresses will be signed for the role. But yes, this is a performance-oriented role and we need a beautiful face, so we will definitely sign an established name.”

Although Shetty has confirmed he has not signed anyone for the film as of yet, it looks as if the Kareena Kapoor will be the lucky one to star opposite to SRK since Shetty has said he will sign a beautiful and an established name.
