Getting on top in the Bollywood industry requires a lot of sacrifices, especially when it comes to the female artists and Riya Sen, who is a well-known Indian actress, has admitted the fact. Author Neeta Shah has recently written a book by the name of ‘Bollywood Striptease’ in which she has claimed that ‘Indecent proposals’ are the norm in the Hindi film industry and Riya thinks the book speaks the truth.
The 31-year-old actresses and model, who was last seen in ‘Benny and Babloo’, was present at the launch of Neeta Shah’s book where she said she too has had such experiences. Riya is not of the leading actresses in the industry but she is happy with her current position, as she said she made her own decisions.
“This book has everything and I think what she has written is true. My journey has been very different because I am not so ambitious. But yes, I have been offered, I have gone through a lot of experiences, directly and indirectly,” said Riya.
“It depends on individual to individual, it’s what you choose. I have made my own decisions and I am happy with them,” she added.
Riya Sen locked many headlines and remained under a lot of discussion in India during the last decade after allegedly being part of an MMS chain. The MMS showed Riya Sen and Ashmit Patel making love. Nevertheless, when Riya was asked about it, she said she doesn’t get affected by the rumours.
“I have read my own interviews where people have quoted me when I have not even spoken to that journalist. I don’t sit and cry or howl or say I am running away from India or world,” said Riya, who is daughter of the yesteryears actress Moon Moon Sen.
Riya Sen made her Bollywood debut in 2001 via ‘Style’ and later on she played lead roles in the films like ‘Dil Vil Pyar Vyar’, ‘Jhankaar Beats’ and ‘Shaadi No. 1’. Currently, Riya is gearing up for ‘Krrish 2’, in which she will be featured as Vivek Oberoi’s girlfriend.
