Rehman Malik not happy by the measures taken by Punjab Government during the visit of Abdul Kadir Topbas

Pakistan’s Interior Minister visited Lahore this Sunday and was not happy by the arrangements made by the Punjab Government.

While commenting on Istanbul’s mayor visit to Lahore on this Sunday. He voiced that there was not even a single picture of the father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah throughout the city.

Neither there was any sign board relating to the Prime Minister or the President of the country.

He blamed that it shows the hatred that the Punjab Government holds against the Pakistan People’s Party.

He explained, “When I went to Lahore, I saw that there was no picture of the Quaid-e-Azam, the president or the prime minister… Even if you hate us so much, you can bear a heavy heart for some time and put up the pictures of the country’s leadership”.

The whole city was visually appealing during over the last weekend and it was filled with the sign boards of the Sharif brothers and Hamza Sharif welcoming the honorable guests.

Malik illustrated that whenever an international delegation visits the country, the state should reflect its true atmosphere and not only of the ruling party.

“It shouldn’t happen that only pictures of the Punjab leadership are evident”, he continued, “If they are disparaging the president, then they are disparaging themselves… Perhaps, you will be in our place tomorrow”.

No matter what Malik believes, Mr. Kadir Topbas was impressed by the Punjab Government’s hospitality.

He has shown his gratitude by presenting a gift of 100 busses for the citizens of Lahore and has also shown interest to strengthen the ties between the two countries.
