There are a number of TV series out there that will have the audience hooked from the beginning to the very end. AMC’s the Walking Dead is one of them and here are three reasons why.

House MD, Suits, Madmen, Spartacus and A Game of Thrones, among others, really blur the line between television and film and in some cases tell a story better than the latter.

Take for example HBO’s A Game of Thrones, which is returning for a second series on the 1st of April. The TV series remains true to the novel written by George R. R. Martin and does not shy away from the details.

There are very few cuts and plenty of detail, something one would find it hard to say if there was a movie adaption.

That is because with a television series one is not restricted to 2 hours of show time but rather can spread it out over one hour episodes for several weeks.

One particular show that has taken full advantage of this is AMC’s the Walking Dead. Currently in its second season, the show has set a slow, haunting pace and each episode gives everyone new insight into the characters’ struggle to survive in a world gone
to Hell.

One reason to watch the show is because, well, it is the only one out there that is currently catering to fans of the zombie genre. The undead may be in the background for many fans’ liking, yet when they do appear, they never disappoint.

The second reason is that apart from the zombies the relationships between the characters are so raw and fragile that it really draws one in. While it may not be anything like Shakespeare, it does have plenty of quality when it comes to
the performances of its cast.

The third reason one should watch the Walking Dead is because everyone else is and if you don’t want to be the odd one out or recommend an amazing ‘new’ series to your friends, then the Walking Dead is definitely the show for you.

The second season is almost over, so it is a great time to get into the world of the Walking Dead as there are plenty of episodes all ready for your viewing pleasure.
