PTI not to be a hierarchical entity; says Imran Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has said that his party would be a political entity rather than a hierarchical company.

Addressing a public gathering in Sialkot, Imran Khan said that his PTI would be the only party, whose members would elect (and not select) their leadership.

“We would hold open elections of our party with full media monitoring, and the youth of party could become leaders in their own right”, he declared.

He accused both President Zardari and Mian Nawaz Sharif of sharing ‘Samjhota (reconciliation) Express’ (abetting each other) , and challenged that PTI would put an end to this ‘Samjhota Express’ replacing it with real train(s) (of progress).

“We do not need anybody’s help, as we know how to go along alone”, he avowed. He cited his earlier Cricket career, whence he had tackled both Western and Indian teams with vigor; while “currently I am pitched against political alligators, who have /had the temerity to even confront Supreme Court”, he challenged.

He also criticized Nawaz Sharif’s endeavor of ‘buying youth with laptops’ worth Rs 100 million and also publicly promised to usher in LG system, besides revolutionary changes in education, health and other sectors.

He also berated the notion of a PM, trying to protect a corrupt President, since any disclosures would also endanger his (PM’s) illegal assets.

He said the enthusiasm shown by the people of Sialkot has proved once again that the popularity of PTI is greatly increasing. The perception that the tsunami has flowed down has been proved wrong because the tsunami is growing stronger and faster every passing day, he added.

On the occasion, former Speaker, N.A Chaudhry Ameer Hussain, Provincial industrial minister Chaudhry Ajmal Cheema and others also announced their joining of PTI, warning that “if we failed to act prudently and sane , failing to wake from the deadly slumber, we would be doomed to worse kind of global insult , ever”.

Earlier when WAPDA blacked out the entire City and address venue, Imran Khan severely castigated the issue, declared that graft and corruption had rendered the Country redundant, for which imminent steps would have to be taken.
