Imran Khan calls Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari passengers of ‘Samjhota Express’

Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf, (PTI), Imran Khan has once again slammed Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari and claimed that both of these political leaders are allies of each other.

Imran addressed a massive public procession at Sialkot yesterday and proved that he is without doubt the third major political force of the country.

The World Cup winning cricket captain of Pakistan turned into a politician when he formed PTI in mid-1990s. However, his party failed to make an impression in the political scene of Pakistan for almost a decade and a half, even though Imran became a very
popular political leader in 2000s because of his anti-Musharraf stance on the domestic and foreign policies of Pakistan.

The situation changed drastically last year when PTI gathered huge number of people for its public gatherings in Lahore and Karachi. Since then, the political analysts of the country have started to take him seriously and it is widely expected that PTI is
going to give a very tough time to the mainstream political parties of the country.

It remains a big challenge for Imran to compete with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League (N) as both the parties have a lot of electoral experience. However, the Chairman PTI expressed in Sialkot that he was a sportsman and has a training
to compete with even the fiercest competitors.

“I competed against players all my life but now the opponents are ‘political alligators’,” he said.

Imran further added that PPP and PML (N) criticize each other in media but actually they are one and the same thing. He believes that Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari cannot hold anyone accountable because both of them have been involved in corruption in
past. He called this unholy alliance as ‘Samjhota Express’.

PTI is the most active political party of the country at the moment and is running a massive public awareness movement in Pakistan. Imran and company are holding processions in every part of the country and with this pace; PTI will soon become one of the
largest political parties of Pakistan.

It remains to be seen that how things shape up before the next general elections in Pakistan.
