Black Keys reaches out to Nickelback after putting the blame – Music News
Patrick Carney of Ohio based American Rock Band Black Keys has apologised to Nickelback for his recent harsh comments, in which he mentioned that the band is bringing the Rock ‘n’ Roll down. The frontman of Black Keys blamed the Canadian band for the current
state of music.
Carney was actually interviewed by famous magazine Rolling Stone, where he aimed Chad Kroeger of Nickelback and stated, "Rock ‘n’ roll is dying because people became OK with Nickelback being the biggest band in the world. They became OK with the idea that
the biggest rock band in the world is always going to be s**t (and) therefore you should never try to be the biggest rock band in the world. F**k that!"
However, the response from Nickelback was quite humble. They brushed off the comments by one simple statement that "Life’s too short to sweat what others think". Chad and the other band members of Nickelband showed indifference to the idecent opinion of
Black Keys.
Meanwhile, Carney backtracked on his remarks and sent apologies to the band. He told MTV Canada that he did not target them but it just came out. He admitted that Nickelback is doing far better job than many other bands. This was indeed the worst apology
but that’s why they say you better be careful about your comments.
