Australian court accuses Google for misleading advertisement

Google has just been accused by the Australia court to provide ads that, according to the verdict of the jury, were "false and misleading." The Federal Court of Australia will make the Mountain View giant pay court costs to correct
their listing behaviour that apparently point to miamo website that has been sought rather than its direct competencies.

Specific cases reported are as follows. In a notice reading "Honda.com.au" was reached Car Sales page instead of the Japanese manufacturer’s website.

Both in 2006 and 2007 Google already had to explain to Australian judicial commission on ads related to the term "car sales" (selling cars).Google has been limited to an official statement:

"We are disappointed by a decision that makes us responsible for the content of some advertisements. Google Ad Words is a platform that hosts ads and think that advertisers should be responsible for their use. We are committed
to continue providing a service that benefits both the client and the user. "

In France, when they were warned for this practice, they decided to take action. In the neighbouring country is not permitted to purchase listings for words that include the name of the direct competition. This avoids the confusion.

In Spain, the most famous case was that of Orange Lola. In 2008, its founder, Fernando Aparicio explained in an interview: "My wife’s name is Lola and we have the proprietary name, but Google is used to sell sponsored links when
an Internet user typed in the search Orange Lola and facilitate other directions.

"Truth is not logical that you have to advertise for others they are not advertised in searches of my own name. He came to pay 1,500 Euros a month. He told me that Google can deposit around 10,000 Euros a month taking advantage
of the hook of my brand."
