Indian Government has forwarded evident to Pakistan Government against Hafiz Saeed and it claims that, “Saeed was present during the selection and training of terrorists behind the 26/11 attack”.

Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Yousuf Raza Gilani has briefed that the intelligence agencies of both the countries will share evidence on Mr. Saeed’s case on April 16th, 2012.

“We are in the middle of talks with India and on April 16 both countries’ interior secretaries will share their evidence against Saeed”. Gilani noted.

And on the basis of these evidences, which would be sufficient for the courts, further action against Saeed will be taken,” he concluded.

United States of America offered handsome prize money of US$ 10m for arrest of Pakistan-based militant group’s founder, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Hafiz Muhammad Saeed.

The organisation is blamed for planning the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks in India but nothing was proven in the court.

The alleged now runs the Jamaat-Ud-Dawa (JuD) and is amongst the list of most wanted men by the US Government.

The two organisations i.e., Jud and Let have been blacklisted by the American Government.

JuD responds to the news as, “yet another attack on Islam and Muslims”.

Mr. Saeed was seen recently outside Islamabad, Pakistan outside parliament, conducting a protest to cut down ties with India and US.

He has denied all the allegations and has briefed that JuD of LeT has nothing to do with violence of any kind and in any part of the world and that, it is a charity organisation.

Government of Pakistan has not casted its vote on the recent US announcement and has repeatedly cited that it cannot take any actions as nothing has been proven against Hafiz Muhammad.

Several Lashkar-e-Taiba leaders were taken under custody following the Mumbai attacks but the majority were released after the initial investigations including Mr. Saeed.

American has also offered a bounty of US $2m for Saeed’s brother-in-law Abdul Rehman Makki.

US State Department noted on its website, “Hafiz Mohammad Saeed is a former professor of Arabic and engineering, as well as the founding member of Jamaat-ud-Dawa, a radical Deobandi Islamist organisation dedicated to installing Islamist rule over parts of India and Pakistan, and its military branch, Lashkar-e-Taiba”.
