Zavisa Milosavljevic’s men were able to overcome Bangkok Glass FC with a narrow score-line with Junaid Qadir netting the all important winner.

The Green-Shirts were crushed 3-0 in their earlier game but rallied back superbly to see off Thai Premier League side Bangkok Glass. The team were earlier without influential players Kaleemullah, Junaid Qadir, Mohammad bin Younis and Faisal Iqbal due to
visa problems.

However with them back in the side, the youngsters were able to churn out a sensational result after preventing the hosts from scoring after Junaid Qadir’s opener on the 19th minute.

“Following the joining of the four players, the team got rejuvenated and played well tactically,” Pakistan’s assistant coach Nasir Ismail said.

“Mohammad Sher also got an open chance in the last moments but missed it,” Nasir said.

The coach praised goalie Saqib Hanif for his splendid display.

“Saqib was excellent today as he saved five sure goals which gave us a chance to record a victory,” Nasir said.
