Rakhi Sawant: Vidya Balan hasn’t done anything in ‘The Dirty Picture’

India’s very own item girl, Rakhi Sawant, will be seen playing Vidya Balan’s role of Silk Smitha in the Bengali version of ‘The Dirty Picture’ and she is fully geared up ahead of the shooting.

‘The Dirty Picture’, which was released on December 10, last year, rocked at the box office and Vidya Balan’s magnificent acting was the main reason behind the success of the movie. Balan was also presented with a National Award for her performance.

However, the motor-mouth Rakhi Sawant thinks people will forget Vidya Balan after watching her performance. She said movies get hit if a heroine shows off her body and she will show it more than anyone else.

The 33-year-old didn’t hesitate at all while saying “Main sabse zyaada kam kapde pehenungi” in front of the media.

When contacted, Rakhi gushed, “Vidya Balan hasn’t done anything in The Dirty Picture. I will do better and hotter scenes in the Bengali remake. Even Vidya will be surprised after seeing my character. I will be better than her. The sari is meant to be taken off in films, not worn. Films become a hit because of this, not because of stars.”

She further added, “I am pretty excited to do bold scenes, bed scenes and the movie will also have long smooches ever. Main sabse zyaada kam kapde pehenungi.”

In the meantime, Rakhi revealed that her performance in an item song in the film ‘Om Shanti’ has brought her this role.

Rakhi said, “The remake will be directed by Shatabdi Roy, a member of Parliament who is as big as Amitabh, Jaya Bachchan or Rekha in Bengal. I got the role because of an item song I recently did in the Bengali movie titled Om Shanti. The song is very popular in Bengal right now.”

Well, all said and done, to overshadow Vidya Balan’s performance in ‘The Dirty Picture’ looks something a bit difficult but let’s see if Rakhi Sawant really comes up with something extra ordinary.

The remake is untitled as of now and other than Rakhi and the director, nothing else has been finalised.
