Pearl Jam are currently working on their tenth studio album. However, it is becoming increasingly unclear that when the album will hit the stores.

Guitarist Mike McCready recently revealed that the album will not be finished this year. However, the rhythm guitarist, Stone Gossard, has revealed that the upcoming album is almost complete and the band would be releasing it late this year.

“We got some new material and we’re excited about hopefully doing some more work on that later in the year”, Gossard stated.

In addition, the rhythm guitarist has stated that there is a song in the album that reminds him of Motarhead.

“That’s fantastic that reminds me of Motorhead. I hope that that one is in the mix coming up”, Gossard added.

He went on to insist that the band would be on the road a bit more this year.

“We’re going to try to play a little bit more this year… Not too much, but a few things”, Gossard concluded.

Although the rhythm guitarist never hinted on the release date, it seems unlikely that the new album would be in the market any sooner than November.
