Samsung Focus Flash (2011)

Samsung is not only known for Android-powered smartphones but the company also works with Microsoft on their glamorous yet very simple operating system, Windows Phone. The Focus Flash comes pre-installed with WP 7.5 Mango.

With a fast 1.5 GHz single-core processor, the phone boosts up processing speeds as Microsoft claims the operating system is design architected around inexpensive circuitry and efficient way to serve users on the platform.

The smartphone dwells on HSPA+ wireless data streaming technology, which at the time of its launch was the fastest network, and now it has embraced the 4G moniker as well. Therefore, technically Focus Flash users have earned bragging rights to call the handset a 4G capable.

At At 4.6 inches tall by 2.3 inches wide and 0.43 inch thick, it is a classy style smartphone. With a weight of 4.1 ounces it is neither light nor heavy but just perfect for daily handling.

Pantech Burst (2012)

Like Focus Flash, Pantech Burst sports a Super-AMOLED screen but the company takes the smartphone up a notch by integrating 4G LTE capabilities. Therefore, it can safely be said that Burst is an impressive amalgamation of the best in Focus Flash and its sister device, Pantech Breakout.

The phone comes pre-installed with Android Gingerbread 2.3 on a streaking 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, the phone shows off extreme speeds and very smooth transition between slides and applications.

Burst, as the name suggests, works fast on the faster 4G LTE network with mesmerising download and upload data streaming. For a device at the bottom of a price list, it does show impressive performances both in call quality and internet connectivity.

The 5-mega pixel camera with the ability to capture 720p video is a plus while, the Super-AMOLED screen shows promising results in terms of colours and deeper blacks.
