Blazing Samsung Galaxy S III is finally out the factory after much wait. The Korean company hinted in January 2012 that it will be releasing the new successor soon, and since that time the handset was surrounded by rumours and speculations. The wait is over and device is finally in everybody’s grasp on paper.

The event staged in London was all about the new smartphone. In the light of the specifications revealed at the show, the phone packs a punch to face the ultra-hyper competition in the international market.

Equipped with a quad-core processor and a vivid Super-AMOLED screen, the phone boasts attractive features which will certainly give the likes of Apple and HTC a hard time in the marketplace. Though it has been more than seven months since iPhone 4S shored up and it has found its feet in the ground, the new S III’s latest Android operating system with a number of new features and its slick and stylish design will certainly give Cupertino giants a tough outing.

HTC released its flagship Android-based handset, HTC One X, a couple of weeks ago. Although the US version lacks a quad-core processor but its LTE speeds and smooth-running operating system are very competitive. On the top of that, the phone’s built quality is simply astounding.

In the light of the above, it seems obligatory to bring the three major players on the table and compare them side-by-side. From a technical view point, Apple takes the lead so far, however, the new S III, on paper, is not behind in the competition.

Dimensions

When it comes to design, all three companies run circles around others. Everyone of them is known for bringing the slimmest and the lightest smartphone in the market. iPhone 4 was the thinnest when it was launched in 2010. Galaxy S II was the lightest at its launch.
