Warning for the rulers

Thursday, May 10th, 2012 4:45:40 by

Pakistan got a democratic government led by Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) a result of February 2008 general elections. After a long dictatorial regime of General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf, it was great sigh of relief to have an elected government.

A general perception is that the worst democracy is better than the best dictatorship. However, apparently it has proved the other way during the over four years of democratic rule of the PPP.

Although it is not right direction, people have started remembering the better living conditions prevalent during the previous dictator’s regime.

The incumbent government has pushed the common man to the wall and it has become very difficult for him to survive where he has sky rocketing prices of daily commodities besides not getting protection and justice.

On the other hand, the rulers are enjoying a royal life with everything free to them and their families. Every other a new scandal comes out where the ruling lot or their appointees have wangled or defrauded the public money in billions of rupees.

After hearing the so-called achievements and accomplishments including NFC Award, 18th, 19th Constitutional Amendments, Aghaz-e-Huqooq Balochistan, Waseela-e-Haq and Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), the people have become sick.

Besides recounting the martyrdoms of their leaders, the government spokespersons keep uttering these parroted sentences on every talk show on the various TV channels. However, the life of common man became more miserable in the present regime.

The rulers should not wait for the onslaught of the people and should stop looking and plundering the national exchequer. It is their imperative responsibility to follow their oaths by keeping the national interests supreme over personal benefits.

The masses are fed up of these rulers who are neck deep in corruption and the ruling elite should feel the pulse of the nation.

It is widely perceived that those most corrupt figures are ridiculing the judiciary by not implementing its verdicts. People believe that all known corrupt people are being given key posts and all key posts have a price which is paid to the appointing authority.

Everything is in the knowledge of general public and the media hawks who have started talking openly. The rulers should either mend their ways or quit before the disgruntled public wrath comes to get hold of them.

Faisal Farooq You have spoken the truth. I wish there were more writter like you
it takes lot of courage to speak the truth as a writter where you can easily be targetted by these corrupt and begarat politicians of PPP, PML and their chamchas,
May ALLAH help you and excel you for every word you write which brings the truth out
I have no doubt it is beacuse of poeples like you that pakistan still exist werna tu yeh begarat beshram aur behaya politician kab se kah gaye hote isko

One thing I also wonder if some can write about these MNA and MPA. What they use to be and what they are now
So the awam sees their true faces. It is important to tell awam again and again how much these public servent make, what kind of benefits they get and on top it how much they make by using their MNA aur MPA title as bribery
I would encourage every pakistani to make a web site to list the true figure about each and every MPA and MNA from every parties
This is will be the one to show awam these corrupt MNA and MPA se true faces
Keep up the good work and May ALLAH bless you and reward you for your honest writting

Read this for an eye opener

Any Guess How Much a Pakistani MNA makes ?????? This is how all our tax money is been swallowed and price hike on our regular commodities:
Salary & Govt. Concessions for a Member of NATIONAL ASSEMBLY (MNA)
    Ø Monthly Salary : Rs. 120,000 to 200,000
Ø Expense for Constitution per month : Rs.100,000
    Ø Office expenditure per month : Rs.140,000
Ø Traveling concession (Rs. 8 per km) : Rs.48,000 (For a visit to ISLAMABAD & return): 6000 km
Ø Daily BETA during Assembly meets : Rs.500
Ø Charge for 1st class (A/C) in train : Free (For any number of times all over PAKISTAN)
Ø Charge for Business Class in flights: Free for 40 trips / year (With wife or P.A.)
Ø Rent for Govt.. hostel any where: Free
Ø Electricity costs at home : Free up to 50,000 units
Ø Local phone call charge : Free up to 1,70,000 calls
Ø TOTAL expense for a MNA per year : Rs. 32,000,000

And they are elected by THE PEOPLE OF PAKISTAN, through a democratic process of this world, not intruded into the assembly on their own or by any qualification.
