Vidya Balan: I am very greedy to work with good actors and directors

B’town actress Vidya Balan is the talk of the town at this point in time since she has delivered the industry back-to-back hits like ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘Kahaani’. However, after giving solo blockbusters the 34-year-old has drawn a wish-list of male co-stars. The National Award winning actress wants to work the likes of Abhishek Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Prosenjit Chatterjee.

‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘Kahaani’ were both female-oriented films. Perhaps this is a reason why Balan is now anxious to work with good actors and directors.

“I would like to work with those who I have already worked with and those who I haven’t. I would love to pair with Abhishek (with whom she was seen in ‘Paa’)… It’s been long. I am very greedy to work with good actors and directors,” she said at the release of the DVD of her film “Kahaani” here Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Balan was all praises for the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, who is known best in the industry for doing romantic roles.

“Every woman wants a Raj (SRK’s character in ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’. That’s why I have always wanted to work with him. Whenever we work together, I would like it to be a nice relationship story,” she said.

Milan Luthria’s film ‘The Dirty Picture’, in which Balan played the role of a late southern sex siren Silk Smitha, is now being remade in Bengali version and this time the one chosen for the role is none other than the item girl Rakhi Sawant.

Balan was asked about how she feels about the remake and what she thinks about Rakhi as Silk Smitha?

Vidya said: “I have seen Rakhi a lot, so I think she is a lot of masti. I am waiting to see what she does in the film.”

Well, all said and done, let’s see if Vidya Balan really gets a chance to star opposite to the likes of the above mentioned actors.
