Roland Schoeman and Brittany Kimmitt shine in swimming events – 2012 Mutual of Omaha Swimvitational

Roland Schoeman and Brittany Kimmitt won gold medals of men’s 100m freestyle and Women’s 200m breaststroke at the 2012 Mutual of Omaha Swimvitational.

With his immaculate efforts, Schoeman remained dominant over his competitors from the start and sprinted his way towards the finishing end for gold medal with the timing of 49.07 seconds.

The champion was followed by Darian Townsend of Tucson Ford Deal, who remained 0.78 seconds apart and hit the finishing wall with the timing of 49.85 seconds for silver medal.

The silver medallist was chased by Jordan Huff of Club Hawkeye-IA, who stayed 1.06 seconds slower from overpowering his foregoing finisher and emerged on the finishing wall with the timing of 50.91 seconds for bronze medal.

Following that, Kimmitt gained gold medal of the 200m breaststroke. With her epic pace, Kimmitt reached the wall for gold medal with the timing of 2 minutes and 31.45 seconds.

Her gold winning effort remained 0.06 seconds ahead of Kohoyda, who followed her on the medal rostrum for silver medal by producing a time of 2 minutes and 31.51 seconds.

Similarly, third fastest spot of the race was secured by Kimmitt’s teammate, Ashley Wanland, who remained nearly two body lengths apart and tapped the finishing wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 33.30 seconds.

Next was the equivalent event in Men’s category, where Carl Mickelson proved his eligibility for the title of the event.

Mickelson remained just a touch away from his foregoing finisher and posted a time of 2 minutes and 14.07 seconds for gold medal of the event.

His effort remained 0.04 seconds faster from his closest swimmer, Burckle, who captured second position of the discipline with the timing of 2 minutes and 14.11 seconds for silver medal.

The second position holder was trailed by Kevin Cordes of University of Arizona, who stayed 0.32 seconds apart and tapped the finishing blockade with the timing of 2 minutes and 14.43 seconds for bronze medal.

Furthermore, the championship ended after the completion of all planned events.
