Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is on cloud nine at this point in time because his last two films ‘Houseful 2’ and ‘Rowdy Rathore’ has done an excellent business at the box office.
The 44-year-old is commonly known as the ‘Khiladi’ of Bollywood industry for his action roles in the 90’s. However, now people are started calling him ‘Rowdy’ after watching his latest action film but the actor has insisted that he is a totally different person off the camera and this word doesn’t suit him at all.
“Real life is different than reel life. In real life I am no longer a puppet as I am in reel life. I am a thoroughly different person in real life. Kicks and punches are the reel life stuff. I wonder why the word ‘rowdy’ is being used for me,” said Akshay, who was in the capital last night to attend Aaj Tak Care awards.
Akshay also commented on his initial days in the Hindi cinema. He said they were very tough but he is happy to have come so far.
“My initial years in Bollywood was very tough. I had to struggle a lot. I always believed God was with me. I never deviated but rather focused on my efforts,” he said.
Akshay is currently gearing up for Ashish R Mohan’s upcoming film ‘Khiladi 786’, which is be released on December 7 this year. It is yet another action movie but the actor said he is going to his best shot to it.
“I believe ‘Khiladi 786’ is one of the important assignments of my life,” he said.
In the end, Akshay was asked whether if he has any plans to become a politician, on which he said no but on the same note he remarked if he ever becomes a politician, he would definatley do something about the sports in the country.
Akshay said, “If I become a politician, I would definitely do something for sports.”
