Rebecka Palm and Kevin Quinn dominate swimming event – Mutual of Omaha Swimvitational

Rebecka Palm and Kevin Quinn captured gold medals of 200m butterfly in Women and Men’s corner at the 2012 Mutual of Omaha Swimvitational in Nebraska on Sunday, June 10.

Palm faced tough competition from her following swimmer throughout the discipline but with her utter determination, she sprinted her way towards the finishing wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 16.38 seconds.

Her gold winning effort remained 0.11 seconds faster from Bailey Nero, who snared silver medal of the discipline by producing a time of 2 minutes and 16.49 seconds.

The second position holder was followed by Brooke Balogh, who was 2.10 seconds apart and transpired on the finishing blockade with the timing of 2 minutes and 18.59 seconds.

Following that, Quinn snared the crown of equivalent event in Men’s corner. He demonstrated his stupendous efforts in the distant butterfly event and made his way of the finishing blockade with the timing of 2 minutes and 03.55 seconds.

The gold medallist was followed by Stephen Yemm, who stayed almost 0.80 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and tapped the finishing end with the timing of 2 minutes and 04.33 seconds.

Third position of the discipline was secured by Ryan Kao, who suffered a deficit of nearly 0.60 seconds and surfaced on the finishing end with an effort of 2 minutes and 04.91 seconds.

Next was the Women’s 100m breaststroke, where Ashley Wanland proved her mettle for gold medal of the event.

With her impeccable swim and strong determination, Wanland managed to out-touch her closest competitor and clocked a time of 1 minute and 08.74 seconds for gold medal.

The champion was trailed by Amanda Beard, who stayed 0.12 seconds behind and transpired on the finishing end as second position holder by posting a time of 1 minute and 08.86 seconds.

Third position of the discipline was secured by Ann Chandler, who stayed 0.15 seconds behind and settled on the finishing end with the timing of 1 minute and 09.01 seconds.

Furthermore, the championship ended after the completion of all planned events.
