Megadeth front-man Dave Mustaine: We are working on the new album

Megadeth lead vocalist and guitarist, Dave Mustaine, has revealed that the band is currently working on their 14^th studio album. The American heavy metal band released their last record, TH1RT3EN, in 2011.

Mustaine revealed that the upcoming album would be a little darker and faster than their previous records.

“Some of it’s a little darker, some of it’s a little faster. Being in this position right now, not knowing where we’re going to go or what we’re going to do, it’s kind of like the world’s ours to do what we want. Are we going to go back to the speed and thrash metal roots that made us who we are? Are we going to experiment and rely on the melody that we’ve discovered in Megadeth songs”, the band front-man stated.

The former Metallica guitarist went on to reveal that the band has already tried melodic music, and they are happy to get going with the same.

“We’ve tried to do that in Megadeth, have a little melody so that it’s not just the same old grinding music like everybody else has. We’re just happy to get going and get to the studio”, Mustaine concluded.

Although, the talented string player has not unveiled about the release date of his band’s new album, it seems unlikely that the fans would be seeing a 2012 release.a
