Sachin Parikh believes Akshay Kumar will do wonders in ‘Oh My God’

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is on cloud nine these days, thanks to the stupendous success of his films ‘Housefull 2’ and ‘Rowdy Rathore’. The actor will now be seen in the upcoming film ‘Oh My God’, which is based on a Gujarati play ‘Kanji Viruddh Kanji’, and the TV celebrity Sachin Parikh, who previously played the lead, feels Akshay will do full justice to the role.

Parikh told the media that he has admired Akshay as an actor from the day one and he thinks he will fulfil the requirements in an excellent way.

“I have seen Akshay right from his first movie. The way he has taken his graph as an actor is amazing. Be it comedy, satire or action, Akshay does them all so convincingly. I admire him as an actor. The character which I portrayed will be shown in a different angle and manner. It will be performed differently, so I am sure Akshay would do wonders,” he said.

‘Kanji Viruddh Kanji’ was remade in Hindi version as well, which is called ‘Krishna vs Kanhaiya’, but it featured Paresh Rawal in the lead instead of Sachin, who has performed the original Gujarati play more than 100 times.

When Sachin was asked whether if he would like to work in the film or not, he immediately said he would love be a part of ‘Oh My God’, which is to be directed by Umesh Shukla.

“I always wanted to be part of the film. I have been 100 times with ‘Kanji Virudhh Kanji’ and I was really happy to play that role. But television and theatre are both different. I didn’t get any good role or opportunity to play. But I would love to be a part of this film,” he added.

Well, all said and done, Akshay’s last film ‘Rowdy Rathore’ has broken many records at the box office but let’s see if he impresses the audiences once more.
