Will implement Supreme Court’s orders if elected as Prime Minister

Islamabad: (Thursday, June 21, 2012) Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) candidate for Prime Minister Sardar Mehtab Abbasi said today that if he gets elected, he will implement the Supreme Court’s orders in letter and spirit.

Speaking to the journalists outside the parliament, Abbasi said that he will not only abide by the apex court’s orders, but will also do his best to eliminate loadshedding and hold general elections as early as possible.

Abbasi was of the view that the country was ready for the general elections.

Responding to a question about drone strikes, Abbasi said that if the government of Pakistan tasked for them to be ended, they would be stopped.

Condemning the drone attacks, he said, “Drone attacks are an attack on the sovereignty of Pakistan.”
