Timothy Bradley to Amir Khan: Let’s do it!

Timothy Bradley, who currently holds the WBO Welterweight and Light Welterweight championship belts, has finally called out Amir Khan for a potential fight because he knows a rematch with Manny Pacquiao is not likely to happen now.

The Bolton’s finest, also known as King Khan, desperately wanted to fight Bradley last year but he was denied by the American as a result to which he had to set up a fight with Lamont Peterson.

Nevertheless, now when team Pacquiao has made it clear that they don’t want a rematch, Bradley has agreed to fight the Brit, who called him a ‘joke’ after he was handed a contestable points decision over the Filipino icon.

“I just want the big fights,” Bradley told the Desert Sun. “If Khan is the big fight and we can make it happen, then why not? Let’s do it.”

While sharing his thoughts with the media, Bradley, who holds a record of winning all of his 30 professional fights (1 no contest), with 12 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, insisted that it’s all about money and for that he can take on anyone.

The 28-year-old also hinted that he would love a fight with the undefeated American legend Floyd Mayweather, who has been crowned as the highest-paid athlete in the world earlier this week in Forbes’ list.

“If he doesn’t want to face me, he doesn’t have to,” Bradley said. “He’s all about money, ‘Money’ Mayweather. If it doesn’t make money, it doesn’t make sense.

“That would be his take: ‘What kind of fans are you going to bring, Bradley?’ Me having a small fan base would jeopardise me fighting him. But I’m all for it. I would love to face him because I feel he needs to learn.”

Well, all said and done, Amir Khan is currently set to face Danny Garcia on July 14 and as far as Mayweather is concerned, he is serving an 87-day prison sentence.

Let’s see if Bradley gets a big fight.
