Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf invites Baloch disgruntled leaders for dialogue

Putting the Balochistan issue at his priority list, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf invited Baloch nationalist leaders to hold negotiations with the government to resolve the crisis at the earliest.

Speaking to his first cabinet meeting after being elected premier of the country, he said bringing stability and prosperity in Balochistan would be top priority of the government.

Urging the disgruntled Baloch leaders to start dialogue with the officials, he said the government will work with lot of dedication to establish the writ of the state.

The premier noted, “We face challenges, which, if not addressed effectively & properly, could even shake foundations of democracy”.

In his view, unconditional apology from the United States (US) for NATO strikes was demand of parliament and they should continue it keeping national interests in view.

He was of the opinion that the bilateral ties between Islamabad and Washington are passing through very delicate & critical phase, adding that the former won’t make hasty and emotional decisions.

Ashraf stated, “Pakistan expects neighbors and other powers to refrain from interfering in internal affairs. Pakistan won’t allow “land to be used against any country for any terrorist activity”.

He asserted that extremism, militancy, intolerance, sectarian violence & terrorism pose a serious challenge to r sovereignty and security of the country.

The premier also directed the state corporation including PIA, WAPDA, Steel Mills and Pakistan Railways to improve their performance and reduce their deficit.

Raja Pervez Ashraf also commended the former prime minister, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, for his efforts to safeguard the Constitution and uphold the supremacy of law.

The first cabinet meeting under the chair of Pervez Ashraf also discussed ongoing power crisis and law and order situation in the country, seeking ways and means to improve the situation.  He pledged not to let the electricity crisis to affect agriculture and industry of the country.

It is vital to mention here that several ministers of the newly elected prime minister’s cabinet were absent in the meeting.

    We know him very well. He has been tested and failed multiple times in fulfilling his promises. Have we forgotten the December thing when promised that load shedding will be finished by “31st December.” nation can not trust him.

    It is the best time for such acts when PML N can customise the Laws through judiciary.

    Keep talking do nothing… like LBDN (Look Busy Do Nothing). Today I bet when Mr.Ashraf will be leaving, he left no improvement but may be worsen.
