Vidya Balan has made voluptuous sexy: Reema Sen

The Indian actress and model Reema Sen is garnering a lot of attention these days due to her sensual character in Anurag Kashyap’s film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ (GOW), which was released recently on June 22.

When asked by the media, the 30-year-old actress, who was last seen in Askrosh (2011), stated that the main reason behind her success is Vidya Balan. Sen said it is Balan who has made voluptuous look sexy.

“I never imagined that my back would become so famous. Everyone who has seen the film has come up to me and asked me about it. It was just a small scene, but it seems to have got a lot of attention,” she said.

Balan rose to fame last year with Milan Luthria’s ‘The Dirty Picture’, in which she showed people how good she can be at her erotic best. Balan gained almost 15 kilograms before the movie but her voluptuous look was much liked by everyone.

Perhaps this is a reason why Sen believes Balan is one of the reasons why people have liked her character in the film.

She said, “While we were shooting GOW, size zero was in. But Vidya changed it all. She made voluptuous sexy. Honestly, had I come in before Vidya, I would’ve been termed fat.”

In the meantime, the actress revealed that the director wanted her to look voluptuous.

She added, “Anurag was keen that I look voluptuous, so he asked me not to lose weight.”

Reema Sen is not seen on the big screen of Bollywood quite often but she says it is all because she remains busy doing south films.

She remarked, “I’m very busy with films down south, so I don’t really feel the need to do a lot of Hindi cinema. I do films that interest me. Sometimes, those films don’t work, hence my roles go unnoticed. That’s the reason you feel I don’t do much work here.”

Reema Sen is currently participating in the upcoming Hindi film ‘Society’ and she will also be seen in a Tamil film ‘Sattam Oru Iruttarai’ next year.
