Lutfi criticizes Zavisa

The KRL coach claims that the Serbian hasn’t really improved the team despite being given a freehand at selection and a couple of foreign tours.

Zavisa Milosavljevic’s team have clearly failed to perform when it mattered the most and are on the brink of exiting the qualifiers having not grasped a single win.

Their last game against Palestine is dead rubber and a major influx of talent is required if the side is ever going to improve. However the displays far better than the ones previously witnessed and still bodes well for the country.

That notion, though, is not shared by Tariq Lutfi, who has taken a swipe at his predecessor, claiming that under his tutelage the players have stepped down a level rather than doing the opposite.

“The result must have made the PFF upset because it has spent a lot of money on the team and the foreign coach. The PFF provided Zavisa and his team all opportunities of training which normally are not given to a local coach but in spite of this the team
failed to click,” he said.

“I have felt that the foreign coach is too much defensive. He needs a big heart as without taking a risk it is always difficult to progress.”

“If Pakistan fail to beat Palestine in their last match they will finish at the rock bottom. We could have produced such a performance even under an ordinary local coach,” Tariq said.

While the KRL boss claims that the Serbian was unable to perform, reality is that Lutfi himself doesn’t fully understand the game and for him the National team is just a method of earning money, nothing more.
