Bad health prompts Faisal Raza Abidi to resign as advisor to the President

Islamabad: (Tuesday, July 03, 2012) Senator Faisal Raza Abidi, one of the big guns of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) has resigned from the post of advisor to the president.

Abidi, who was the PPP president for Karachi chapter, has also resigned from his party position.

Abidi, amid his services of defending the party leadership in media debates, was made president of the Karachi division in November last year.

According to the PPP sources, the leader has resigned due to health reasons.

With Abidi resigning from the position, the PPP has nominated Qadir Patel as the President of PPP’s Karachi wing.
