Freddie Roach: Amir Khan is ready to take on Danny Garcia

Freddie Roach, Amir Khan’s trainer and renowned Hall of Famer boxing trainer, in a recent media session revealed that  Amir Khan is 100 percent ready for Danny Garcia, and that they are now going through the final stages of the training.

Freddie is a renowned trainer and probably Khan’s best companion when it comes to making the European fighter grab victories.

Amir and Danny, both will enter the ring at the Mandalay Bay Resorts & Casino situated in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. For Amir, the bout will be the last at 140-pound and he wants to leave the division in a charismatic winning way, whereas Garcia’s win would take him to the next level in the industry.

During the media interaction, Roach, who is suffering from Parkinson disease, explained Khan’s situation, saying that the Bolton proud is going through the final phase of his training, adding that he has become too good at the mitts.

The renowned trainer, also known as ‘Master Roach’, further commented that Khan knows how to beat Danny and that Garcia is a decent pugilist who possesses an impressive amateur career.

The veteran Freddie stated, “He’s looking great….he’s doing great….He knows how to beat this guy we’re just going through the final stages of the training and Khan is 100% ready for this bout.” When asked as to what he thinks about Danny and his capabilities, Master Roach commented, “Danny is also a quality pugilist. He has a good amateur back ground, a good puncher and is definitely good with the left hook. Danny is almost probably similar in calibre to Amir Khan and Khan might feel that he is fighting his own self.”

Freddie along with Ruben Tabares, Khan’s conditioning coach, has totally changed Amir’s strategies, training and game plan for the July 14, 2012 bout. The duo is placing great stress and importance to help Amir evolve into a powerful brawler with high levels of speed and agility.

On the Saturday night showdown the world will definitely witness and experience a new Amir Khan. The question is whether the ‘evolved Khan’ can outfox Danny or not? The answer to this query only lies at Mandalay Bay Resorts arena.
