Veena Malik: I am two people at one!

Controversy’s favorite child, Veena Malik, has recently made her Bollywood debut with Madhur Bhandarkar’s film ‘Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai’. In the movie Malik was featured in a double role – one of a beautiful angel and the other of a starlet who cons a man to get his newly acquired wealth.

Though the film has not done an extra-ordinary business at the box office, Malik says she loved playing her part in the film.

The 28-year-old, who has always stayed in the news for wrong reasons, told the media that she really enjoyed her character in the movie because she has played a double role in her real life since she was a child.

The Pakistani starlet was born as Zahida Malik but later on she changed her name to Veena Malik. However, the actress reckons that she still has a split personality.

“I have a split personality. Veena Malik was born when I was 10 years old. Zahida Malik’s personality is very elusive, quite. She would sit in the corner and cry all the time. She falls in love very easily. She wants to stick to one person. She has no interest in cameras and lights. She is a very simple person,” Veena Malik told IANS.

“Veena is a very different person. I have pulled Zahida out of wrong relationship. Veena is a brave person. She hardly cries. She is a very strong person. I am so thankful to my studies like psychology that helped me understand myself. I am two people at one,” she added.

Well, all said and done, Veena Malik is certainly on a roll in the Hindi filmmaking industry. She is working on almost four films currently and she is planning to start her singing career very soon as well.

In a recent interview with The Express Tribune, Veena also revealed that she may join politics in future. She said that her father was joining Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf  and he wanted her to join too.
