Amir Khan vs. Danny Garcia: Khan assures great performance against Garcia

Former IBF and WBA light welterweight titlist Amir Khan assures fans of exceptional performance against Danny Garcia, who will be defending his WBC light welterweight title for the first time.

“That trash talk has motivated me it makes me train harder and want to knock Danny Garcia out. It has made me more serious and focused,” said Khan who has been a victim of Danny Garcia and his father Angel Garcia’s racism and ethnic comments.

Despite being insulted by the Garcias on several occasions, Khan made a noble move of appreciating Danny Garcia for his accomplishments. However, Khan’s trainer Freddie Roach made it a mark to take a shot at Garcia.

“Danny is a nice young man. His dad talks a lot. He is a shit talker,” said Roach.

On the other hand, Khan assured his fans of a great performance. “Come July 14 you can expect a great performance from me. As always it will be explosive it will be another great victory for me. The difference in classes will show. I will show Danny Garcia that I am an elite fighter not just a world champion,” said Khan.

Bolton proud Amir Khan will be taking on Danny Garcia on July 14 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The fight will have the vacant WBA title up for grabs as well. In other words, winner of the bout will unify the titles.

This is another opportunity for Khan to unify titles, as he did once before when he unified the WBA and IBF titles. Khan is currently in Los Angeles, training at the Wold Card Gym in Hollywood. The gym is owned by Freddie Roach, Khan’s trainer.

It should be noted here that if Khan defeats Garcia, he will head towards a match against either Floyd Mayweather or Timothy Bradley, as promised by CEO of Golden Boy Promotions Richard Schaefer.
