Danny Garcia admits Amir Khan is one of the best out there!

The current WBC light welterweight champion, Danny Garcia, will take on former WBA and IBF light welterweight champion, Amir Khan, on July 14 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and it looks as if the American wants to become the most prominent figure out there in the light welterweight division.

While speaking on his inclusion, Danny ‘Swift’ Garcia, who carries an unbeaten record of winning all of his 23 professional fights, with 14 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, admitted that Khan is one of the best light welterweights out there and this is the main reason why he wants to fight him.

“To be considered the best, I have to fight the best and Khan is one of them,” said Garcia.

The 24-year-old pugilist of Puerto Rican descent shocked many spectators in March this year after he defeated Erik Morales via unanimous decision at the Reliant Arena in Houston, Texas and this time he is fully confident of pulling another upset.

“Fans want to see good fights and this is a great opportunity for me. I knew the day would eventually come that we will fight. We show the world that deserve to be considered the best at 140 pounds and I am sure that I will complete the job, “Garcia said.

On the other hand the Bolton man, who is widely known as King Khan, is geared up for the fight as well.

The Brit controversially lost his titles to Lamont Peterson last year on December 10 but since Peterson has been stripped of, his fight with Garcia has become a unification fight as it will now have both WBA and WBC titles on-the-line.

Well, all said and done, Khan, who has called it his last fight at 140 lbs division, will be a red-hot favorite on the fight night but let’s see if Garcia can once again shock everyone by defeating him.
