Fabio Scozzoli and Inge Dekker conquer gold medals – 2012 Paris Open Swimming Championships

Fabio Scozzoli and Inge Dekker conquered gold medals of the Men’s 50m breaststroke and Women’s 100m butterfly respectively at the 2012 Paris Open Swimming Championships.

With his tremendous pace, Scozzoli smothered hopes of his opponents and occupied gold medal of the event with a timing of 27.73 seconds.

The champion was trailed by Giacomo Perez Dortona, who stayed just an inch slower from his former finisher and touched the finishing wall with the timing of 27.77 seconds for second position.

Bronze medal of the 50m event was obtained by Cameron van der Burgh, who remained just 0.09 seconds apart and settled on the finishing blockade by clocking a time of 27.86 seconds.

The third position holder was followed by Hendrik Feldwehr, who stayed half body length slower form overwhelming his preceding swimmer and finished fourth in the event with the timing of 28.31 seconds.

Feldwehr was traced by Filipp Provorkov of Estonia, who occupied fifth fastest spot of the event with an effort of 28.36 seconds.

Following that, the audience witnessed laudable efforts of Dekker in the 100m butterfly. Dekker stayed almost one body length faster from her subsequent swimmer and tapped the finishing end for first position with an effort of 58.37 seconds.

The gold medallist remained 1.28 seconds ahead of Alexandra Wenk, who followed her on the medal rostrum for silver medal by clocking a time of 59.65 seconds.

The second position holder was followed by Judit Ignacio and Silvia Di Pietro, who stayed almost half body length apart and tapped the finishing blockade with an identical timing of 1 minute and 00.19 seconds for bronze medal.

The duo was followed by Justine Bruno, who stayed half body length behind and hit the finishing end with the timing of 1 minute and 00.84 seconds for fifth position.

The session ended after the completion of all planned events, while the position holders received medals and accolades for their notable efforts at the prize distribution ceremony of the championship. Furthermore, the position holders received a huge round
of applause from the audience.
