Fayyaz Leghari replaces Mushtaq Ahmed as new IG Police Sindh

Karachi: (Tuesday, July 10, 2012) The Sindh government has posted Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari, the former Director General of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and an officer of BPS 21, as the new Inspector General of Police, Sindh.

Leghari has replaced the outgoing officer Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, who is retiring from the service.

Leghari, who holds a domicile of Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab, is 57 years old who joined police service back in 1979.

Throughout his career, Leghari has held various important positions across Sindh including Capital City Police officer Karachi. He was transferred from Sindh Police on March 05, 2011.
