NRO Case: PM does not submit his reply

Islamabad: (Thursday, July 12, 2012) Today, as the court resumed hearing on the NRO implementation case, the government did not submit Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf’s reply in the court.

A five member bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Asif Khosa, heard the NRO case. During the case proceedings, the Attorney General Irfan Qadir told the court that the government will only be able to submit its reply after
it receives the summary from the Law ministry.

Qadir also requested the court to adjourn the hearing till after the summer vacations as both the Law ministry and secretary required some time to familiarize themselves with the case.

Sharing his remarks, Justice Asif Khosa said that the court would reply to adjourning the case after 3:30 in the evening.

During last hearing on the case on June 27, the apex court had directed the Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf to submit his reply in the NRO implementation case by today (July 12).
