Adam Booth: I’ve used David Haye’s hatred of Dereck Chisora as fuel for training!

Former WBA world heavyweight champion David Haye is all set to take on his archrival Dereck Chisora on July 14 at the West Ham Upton Park Stadium in east London, in a fight that is fuelled with bad blood.

Haye and Chisora literally came down to blows in February in Munich, when they clashed at a press conference that followed Chisora’s twelve-round unanimous defeat to Vitali Klitschko and this is the main reason why their fight has created an enormous hype among the audiences because almost everyone out there knows that both fighters have no element of respect for each other.

While speaking on his inclusion, Haye’s trainer Adam Booth stated that he has used Haye’s hatred of Chisora as fuel during the training.

Haye suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Wladimir Klitschko twelve month ago, in a fight which was one of the biggest in British history.

Haye’s performance against Wladimir was criticised a lot but Booth believes that his man will come back under the main lights once again after this fight.

“This is personal. This is way more personal than the Wladimir Klitschko fight. That was business, but he hates Dereck Chisora,” Booth said.

“I’ve used his hatred of Dereck as fuel for training to make him do more. He wants it more.

“But come fight night he must fight an anonymous man and leave emotion out of it.

“David’s got a lot of experience and has had grudge matches before. I know he can separate the two.”

In the end, Booth insisted that he is pretty happy with the training camp and Haye is in the best shape of his life right now.

“David knows what’s in front of him and he’s sparred twice as many rounds for this fight as he has done for any other fight.

“He’s in frightening shape and that’s testament to the training he’s done.”

Well, all said and done, only time will tell if Haye can really shrug off someone like Dereck Chisora in the ring.
