The current WBA super light welterweight champion, Amir Khan, will lock horns with the current WBC light welterweight champion, Danny Garcia, this Saturday at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and he is fully geared up ahead of the clash.

The 25-year-old Bolton man, who is more commonly known as King Khan, lost his battle on December 10 last year against Lamont Peterson, in a fight which ended up in a storm of controversy. However, the Brit says that he has learned a lot from his last fight and this time he is in no mood of taking any chances.

Khan said, “I did make a lot of mistakes in my last fight [against Lamont Peterson], but it was a wakeup call. I learned a lot from that fight.”

Khan and Peterson were scheduled for a rematch in May but it got cancelled after Peterson came positive on drug testing. Nevertheless, Khan believes the cancellation of his fight has worked out for him since he will now enter the ring after a 15-week camp.

Khan insisted, “Training camp has been brilliant. It was a long camp, but we paced it well. We were very professional and smart with the way we did things. It was a 15-week camp and I enjoyed every second of it.”

In the end, Khan promised his fans that he will break Garcia’s unbeaten record on the fight night and will win clinch his WBC title.

He said, “We will win the title. We will take the WBC belt home to the U.K. It is a title I have always wanted.

“I have fans all over who have traveled to Las Vegas for this fight. A lot of them came over for my fight against Peterson too and it means a lot to me. The U.K. press shows me so much support as well and I am grateful.”

Well, all said and done, Khan will enter the ring as a heavy-favourite against Garcia but let’s see if he can really beat him in the ring because only a few can forget Garcia’s last performance against Eric Morales.
