Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that new NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance) has been introduced by amendment in Contempt of Court Law 2012.

The cricketer-turned-politician observed “Decay of the Supreme Court is tantamount to destruction of democracy”.

Speaking to the media in Karachi, he said that if the Supreme Court is demolished, national wealth would be looted by hook or by crook. He predicted, “Rulers are introducing new law in order to conceal their corruption but it is clear that no court would accept it”.

The former captain has made it clear that no alliance would be made with parties who have organized their armed wings and are in alliance with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

The PTI chief said, “Tsunami of democracy has become order of the day; it can’t be blocked at any cost, for it has entered the houses of the people and ignited their souls for revolution”.

Imran Khan also joined hands with lawyers in city court during protest demonstration and observed a symbolic sit-in while showing solidarity with them for nation cause.

Earlier, the former cricketing hero stated that parliamentarians those passed the contempt bill were shameless and even didn’t know definition of true democracy. In his view, democracy meant self accountability and transparency.

He remarked, “Politicians declare their assets first in democracies while in Pakistan they stash their money in foreign banks”.

The PIT chief was of the opinion that the Chief Justice’s position was also being trembled in the entire process of saving Zardari’s money that he looted in the past.

He was of the opinion that it was worldwide trend to reveal assets in order to participate in a country’s election, but here in Pakistan, not only are the assets being concealed, but lies are also being told.
