All of these companies have launched their OS but as hard it was to give undivided attention to each one of them, it was the same tough job comprehending what was announced and what was still to expect. None of these companies published complete spec-sheet to the media. The closest was Google giving a thorough presentation on Jelly Bean and immediately releasing new Samsung Galaxy Nexus with the upgraded operating system.

BlackBerry 10

The most confusing and ambiguous launch was by RIM on BB10. Although it was released in last May, its official world tour, BlackBerry 10 Jam, started in June. Only the basics were revealed, mainly due to the reason that it is still far from complete.

Both the operating system and hardware are still in the making and there is no specific date pasted on notice board, but one thing is sure that it is simple to use, has minimalist layout and is developer-centric. The real reason for BB10 Jam tour is to lure developers to the shaky company.

Moreover, the new OS and hardware will be able to multi-task, will have a new virtual keyboard and an intelligent interpretation system that will complete sentence and omit or insert words with simple gestures.

Various rumours suggest that the company is planning to add high 768×1,280-pixel resolution to the top-of-the-line series.

iOS 6

The second OS released was iOS 6 at the WWDC in San Francisco. More than a hundred new features accompany the next generation of the mobile operating system. However, most of them are upgrades to the already thriving functionalities or are expanded to more than one device. For instance, Siri will be available on the new iPads in full version.
