Ramadan Crescent sighted in Pakistan: First fast on Saturday

Karachi: (Friday, July 20, 2012) The Ramadan crescent has been sighted in Pakistan, and thus, the first fast will be observed on tomorrow (Saturday).
A meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, that took place in Karachi today for sighting the moon of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak 1433 A.H with Chairman Mufti Munibur Rehman made the announcement after confirming through the witnesses
across the country.
While the meetings of zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees were held across the country, amid cloudy weather, no one could sight the moon except for in coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan. After verifying the witnesses, the Central
committee of Ruet-e-Hilal confirmed for the first fast of Ramadan to fall on tomorrow.
