London: (Wednesday, July 25, 2012) Advisor to Prime Minister of Interior Affairs, Rehman Malik, who is visiting UK these days, called on Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain here today in London.
During the meeting, they discussed issues pertinent to current affairs and political situation in Pakistan. Before the formal discussion, Malik conveyed President Asif Ali Zardari’s special message to Altaf Hussain.
The source close to Malik quoted him saying that the PPP along with the MQM and their rest of the allies will continue to foil all the bids against democracy.
Referring to the law and order situation in Karachi, Malik said that some elements were trying to instigate turbulence in Sindh.
In the meeting, Malik praised Altaf Hussain for playing exemplary role for stability of democracy in Pakistan and for welfare of the state. On the occasion, Altaf congratulated Malik on his election as senator.
