CEC regards next polls as test

Karachi: (Thursday, July 26, 2012) The new Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Fakharuddin G Ebrahim said here today that the upcoming elections will be a test for everybody.

After assuming his office, today the CEC visited the Sindh election commission office for the first time where Sindh Chief Election Commissioner Sono Khan Baloch briefed him about the electoral rolls, by-elections and the cases
in courts.

He said that by the end of this ongoing month, the new electoral rolls will be issued. During his meeting with the staff, the CEC directed the commission staff to not to keep relations with the politicians.

The CEC highlighted that his office was taking necessary measures for implementation of electoral rolls.
