Woman stoning in Khanewal: samples taken from victim

Khanewal: (Friday, July 27, 2012) The grave of the woman who was stoned to death was exhumed and samples were taken from her body after Supreme Court took suo moto notice of the incident.

The woman, mother of five, was killed when she was attacked and beaten by bricks. Taking notice of the incident, the apex court had directed the Inspector General Punjab Police to launch an investigation, following which the body
of the woman was exhumed and samples were taken.

After collecting the samples, the investigation team has returned to Lahore.
