XXI Pan Am Junior Championships: Victoria Chen stamps her mark over Brittney Tam in quarter-final

Victoria Chen, a talented and passionate shuttler from USA, showed her tremendous skills on court and secured her berth in Girl’s Singles U17 semi-final after making her mark over Canada’s Brittney Tam at XXI Pan Am Junior Championships
2012 on July 27, in Canada.

Victoria has been putting spectacular show in all of her matches in the tournament and continued her winning streak against her local rival by beating her in a tremendous fashion in just 24 minutes.

The impressive USA shuttler was on a different level as she played with precision and showed great confidence on court which helped her to end up the match in straight game with a superb margin on the board.

In the meanwhile, the confused Canadian shuttler could not play competitive badminton as she remained struggling to find a good flow and eventually lost the match without grabbing any game from her opponent.

Victoria was in wonderful form and played dominating badminton from the starting points of first game. She kept an upper hand over her Canadian opponent in the whole opening half and took an impressive lead of 11-7.

Victoria continued her positive run after the break without showing any respect to her rival and stretched her lead while remaining focused.

The USA shuttler was in dominating position on court and she remained successful in ending up the opening game with a tremendous margin of 21-15.

However, the Canadian shuttler also played good badminton in the following game as she matched the pace of rallies and managed to establish a superb lead of 11-7 at the end of opening half.

After the mid-game break, Victoria changed her tactics and played attacking badminton which helped her to end up the lead of her rival by reaching at 14-14.

The impressive Victoria remained consistent on court and she did not commit any mistake in the concluding phase and ended up the set with a 21-18 score on the board.

The in-form Victoria emerged as the winner in this quarter-final battle in straight games with a superb margin of 21-15 and 21-18.
