Council of Common Interest approves new Petroleum Policy

Islamabad: (Wednesday, August 08, 2012) The Council of Common Interest (CCI) that convened here today, has approved the new petroleum policy for the country.

According to the sources, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf chaired the CCI meeting.

During the meeting, while raising his voice against the discriminatory attitude shown by the federal incumbent towards Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif recorded his protest and demanded for equal share of electric power. He was of the view
that if there isn’t enough electricity in the country, there should be equal amount of loadshedding in all provinces.

In the CCI meeting, the Punjab Chief Minister also presented the resolution.

Sharing details of the meeting, sources claimed that the Prime Minister complained to the Chief Minister Punjab that he too was a part of government.

He also said that the government is working on a mechanism that would calculate the amount of loadshedding being done across the country.

The sources also said that at the end of the meeting, the Prime Minister requested Shahbaz Sharif to leave his camp office.
